This version moves from a FluidRide midsole to a new full length FlyteFoam midsole which is present in the Kayano and Nimbus models. The FlyteFoam is not only lighter than the FluidRide, but will also provide the runner with adaptive cushioning meaning that it bounces back to its original shape each stride. A runner will benefit not only from an elite level of cushioning but the cushioning will also perform longer and stronger than ever before.

In addition to a new midsole technology, the GT-2000 6 receives an update to its upper package resulting in a better fit and more open upper. It is now entirely seamless with a midfoot wrap that has fewer overlays as well as removing its external plastic heel counter.
