HURRICANE HARVEY: SHOES FOR HOUSTON

Glad you asked! Fleet Feet Sports stores all over the country are collecting new or gently-used shoes and new pairs of socks to donate to victims of the storm. To streamline organizational efforts, please do the following prior to dropping off your donation: 

• Tie the shoes in pairs with their laces
• Mark on the back heels the gender and size of the shoes — for example: M12 (Men's Size 12), W9 (Women's Size 9)
• Pair socks together

Here’s a list of non-profit organizations that are underway in raising funds to provide both immediate relief as well as help with long-term recovery efforts:

• Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund — set up by Mayor Sylvester Turner of Houston, this fund accepts tax-deductible flood relief donations to exclusively help victims of this storm.
• Texas Diaper Bank - Based out of San Antonio, they are putting together relief kit for families with very small children who need access to clean diapers in the midst of flooding and evacuations. Diapers take up a lot of space in a delivery truck, which means that other relief organizations have to decide between bringing diapers or food to affected areas. The Texas Diaper Bank fills in that need.
