Meet Hooligan SMSD Ambassador
June 30th at 6:00pm at the store

The Freedom Run supports local charity Smoky Mountain Service Dogs. Their mission is “To enhance the physical and psychological quality of life for wounded Veterans by providing custom trained mobility assistance service dogs (at no cost to the Veteran).”

Come meet Hooligan, an SMSD service dog, this Thursday 6/30 at 6:00pm at the store to learn more about this organization.  Then stay to run/walk with our open group run at 6:30pm.

FFKRC is honored to partner with this incredible organization, and looks forward to the opportunity to give back to our nation’s military veterans while celebrating Independence Day with the community.

Did you know . . .

  - The average cost of a trained service dog is $25,000.

  - SMSD has placed 52 dogs with veterans to date and another 26 dogs currently in training

  - Service dogs are placed at no cost to the veterans

  - 97% of all donations goes directly to dog care and training

  - SMSD is based in Loudon County, TN with 190 volunteers and 5 professional dog trainers
