And the Lifestyle Change Award Goes to?
The American Heart Association recently recognized Michelle Ward (past No Boundaries participant and current No Boundaries Coach) for making positive changes to improve her quality of life and health, presenting her with the Lifestyle Change Award.
In the fall of 2013, Michelle had a slight health scare, convincing her to join the No Boundaries 5K Training Program to help her get moving. About five weeks into the program (where the current program is now), she discovered the truth that "running changes everything." On Saturday, May 3rd, she accepted the 2014 Lifestyle Change Award from DuPont at the Heart Walk, giving much of the credit to FLEET FEET and her No Boundaries Coaches.
Today, Michelle coaches the spring No Boundaries 5K Training Program. To her, it’s a way to pay it forward. “We all have different goals and reasons for doing what we're doing,” she says. “ALWAYS keep in mind that every step you take forward is progress towards a healthier and happier you. I am proud to wear the FLEET FEET brand and excited that the NOBO program was acknowledged as part of my accomplishments in front of thousands of people. I share this award with all of you because you continue to inspire me everyday!”
