To New Beginnings
The New Year is upon us. It's our annual do-over on getting things right this time around. ‘Tis the season to make our resolutions for the upcoming year. They often start with good intentions, but all too often crash and burn before the last snowfall of the season. The issue is that we typically look at resolutions as something we'd like to see happen. It’s like buying a lottery ticket: it very rarely results in actually winning. It’s our $1 investment in dreaming big. Resolutions need to be more than just dreams, though. Otherwise, a New Year’s resolution is simply a New Year’s wish.
The biggest hurdle in achieving our resolutions is the person we see in the mirror every morning. Trying to change our habits and lifestyles by ourselves is like a leopard trying to change his spots. As Sir Isaac Newton noted in his first Law of Motion, “an object will remain at rest or in motion unless acted upon by an external force.” The first step in achieving a resolution is acknowledging that we will need help (that external force) if we are going to create true change. Having an established support system is what holds us accountable and allows us stay strong when otherwise we may have folded. Let FLEET FEET be the support, guidance, and external force you need to achieve your resolutions. To help you make a plan and see all the ways we can help, FLEET FEET is introducing a new Training Catalog this week. Make sure to pick one up at a store near you.
This New Year, when making a toast to new beginnings, make sure you are set up for success. Resolve to find the support you need to become the newer, better you. FLEET FEET is here to help you every step in the journey.
Happy New Year!
