ABC Run/Walk #113 is November 3

by Merlin Anderson (abcrunner@frontier.com)

Did you notice the alignment of the numbers? ABC #113 will be on 11-3 (and it’s election day so plan ahead).

Ominous – but please dare to join us. After all, what could happen (other than electing the wrong candidates)?

Here are a couple things that have happened on 11-3:

  • 1955: a woman in Alabama suffered a badly bruised hip when an 8.5 pound meteorite crashed through her roof.
  • 1908: Bronko Nagurski, a Hall of Fame Chicago Bear football player, was born.

I’d say we’re safe. What are the odds of a meteorite crashing through the roof, or the birth of another Chicago Bear Hall of Famer?

What will happen for sure is a great party as we combine the first Anderson Tuesday night run of the season with Adventure Benefiting Children #113.

It will be Soup/Chili night on Tuesday, November 3 at the Andersons: 112 Doud Dr, Normal

Doors open at 5:00, a 4-mile run/walk starts promptly at 5:30 with meal to follow.

This run will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington/Normal.  This event is free, but donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.

The menu will include chicken noodle soup, vegetable soup, chili, and more!
Bring something to share if you wish.
