The Dawson Lake Dash is a 3.5 mile road race around the rolling hills of Dawson Lake in scenic Moraine View State Park in LeRoy, Illinois. All race proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society of Central Illinois. Runners, walkers, kids and pups are invited to participate.
Race fees
Earlybird Registration through 7/18 $15.00
Registration 7/19 - 8/3 $20.00
Kids Run, One Mile Walk or Puppy Prance $10.00
Technical unisex tank top available as an add-on during registration until 7/23 for $20
A limited quantity of extra tanks will be available for purchase on race day for $20 cash
Awards
Awards for overall male and female winners and 1st - 5th place men and women in the following ten year age groups:
9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over
Additional Information
- Bib and t-shirt pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Bloomington during regular store hours on Saturday, August 2. Race day registration and bib pick-up will be at Moraine View on Sunday from 7:00 - 8:30 am.
- The GPS race address is 27374 E 900 North Rd, Le Roy, IL 61752. Turn right on the main park loop and follow the signs to the concession area/restaurant. After the race the park is a lovely place to spend the rest of your day - click here to learn more about Moraine View.
- Race will be chip timed by Shazam Racing - runners will have a chip start and chip finish time.
- This year's race will run in the REVERSE direction from the previous year!
- This event is open to walkers - we just ask that you complete the race within one hour.
- Course will be open to park traffic.
- Shirts are only guaranteed to participants registered by July 23. By only ordering enough shirts for pre-registered runners we ensure a bigger donation to our charity. A limited quantity of extra tanks will be available for purchase on race day.
- The Race Director may delay or cancel the event if the conditions on race day are unsafe or if given a directive by the State or County. In the event of a cancellation we will offer a partial refund or the opportunity to donate your race fee to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.
