ABC Run/Walk #160 is January 9

ABC Run/Walk #160 to benefit Sugar Grove Nature Center will be 9:00 am to noon, Saturday, January 9, at Sugar Grove Nature Center.
We will be outside. Please follow the usual covid-19 safety protocols (arrive at different times & wear masks when near others).
I and a Sugar Grove representative will be there from 9:00 to noon to greet and facilitate signing in.

This event is free, with the opportunity for a free-will donation to Sugar Grove Nature Center.

Course options include a 7 mile road course or a 5 mile trail course (or any distance you like). For the ultra-minded, see how many miles you can run before noon (feel free to start early) and record your miles on the sign-in sheet before you leave  The results should be interesting.

p.s. Thanks so much to all the contributors to ABC#159, for Adopt-A-Family. The $3,120 donated is so awesome, about double last year and four times that of the year before. This means more families in need will have a great Christmas!

Directions from Bloomington, IL:
Take I-55 South (toward St. Louis).
Take the Shirley exit (the first exit) #154.
Turn right at the top of the off-ramp, on County Road 34.
Turn left at the T-intersection onto Old Route 66.
Proceed approximately 4.5 miles to Funks Grove Road.  Turn right.
Proceed over railroad tracks, and take the first left.
At this point, there will be signs for Sugar Grove Nature Center.  Follow this road.
At the Dead End sign, continue straight.
The road will open up to prairie and you will see the nature center buildings on your right.
When you come to the gravel lane, turn right, and proceed to the parking lot.
