Spring Half Marathon Training

Goal Race: Neuse River Bridge Run Half Marathon May 3, 2025.
The Fleet Feet Greenville, NC Half Marathon training program is a beginner/intermediate training program beginning on Saturday, January 11th, 7am. The program is designed to train participants to complete their first half marathon or improve on their time.

Schedule & Goal Race:
We will train for 16 weeks on Tuesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 7am. If you are planning to do a race elsewhere please let our coach know. Race registration is not included in training registration. BUT we offer a discount code (if applicapable and team signup for the race). Coached by UESCA Certified Coach Philip Peedin.
Prerequisites & Pace Groups:
Participants need to be comfortable running or using run/walk intervals for 4 miles at a 14:30 min/mile pace before the start of the program. Please make sure you are running/walking at least 4 days out of the week. The first long run day will be 6 miles.
We offer 6 pace groups to best suit your training:
Sub 9 minute/mile
9-10 minute/mile
10-11 minute/mile
11-12 minute/mile
12-13 minute/mile
Run/Walk (Run 3 min/Walk 1 min interval throughout the entire program) For our Run/Walk pace group paces may vary.
Please talk with our coach about your pace and they will help you find which run/walk group is right for you.
