Knoxville, TN -- January 14, 2015 -- Last weekend, representatives from the Hot to Trot race committee presented it's annual donation to A Hand Up for Women. Each year, the Fleet Feet Knoxville Running Club, Fleet Feet Sports Knoxville has organized the Hot to Trot 5k/10k & Fun Run on Thanksgiving morning, and with the help of presenting sponsors Publix, Tennova and New Balance, this year Hot to Trot was able to raise $7,500; that's $2,500 more than last year's donation. This local non-profit has been Hot to Trot's beneficiary for the past four years, and the Fleet Feet Knoxville Running club is proud to announce that they will once again be raising funds for this local non-profit with 2015's race.
The Hot to Trot races are only one facet of Fleet Feet Knoxville's involvement with A Hand Up for Women. WalkFit, Fleet Feet Knoxville's first walking only training group, began in Spring 2014 and has been offering free registrations to A Hand Up for Women participants since it's inception. A Hand Up for Women is dedicated to helping women in need become self sufficient in every aspect of their lives, and Fleet Feet Knoxville is proud to assist in helping these ladies achieve physical well-being through fitness.
