Race 13.1 Farragut
Race 13.1 rolled in to Farragut for a rainy Sunday morning half marathon, 10k, and 5k. It was a tough course, running right past Fleet Feet Knoxville's front door and on to the greenways where Fleet Feet training groups often go for their weekly workouts. The mac 'n cheese at the finish made it all worth it though, and of course the Fleet Feet gift certificates for the overall winners and the age group winners was an awesome reward for all that hard work.
Recovery Zone
Armed with Addaday rollers, Fleet Feet set up a recovery zone at the finish line where runners could relax and roll out those tired muscles after 13.1 miles of pounding the pavement. Co-owner Cheryl Hadian along with staff member Katlyn and volunteer MaryJane showed runners how to massage their legs to help them maximize their recovery time.
Fashion to Finish Line
The day before the race, Fleet Feet Knoxville participated in the Fashion to Finish Line fashion show to benefit the Tennessee Affiliate of Huntington's Disease Society of America. Our models showcased sporty-chic looks from our Spring lines that can take you from the gym to the coffee shop. The two looks featured versatile pieces from favorites like Nike, Saucony, Brooks, New Balance, and Adidas.
