No matter where you look, you’ll find a great place to run in Little Rock.
There are so many dirt trails to escape the city life, whether you’re within the city itself or just a few miles away.
The River Trail is paved and runs along the Arkansas River, taking you from The Clinton Library all the way down to Little Maumelle River. Crossing The Big Dam Bridge takes you over to the North Little Rock side, complete with shady trees and winding paved trails.
Keep in mind, Little Rock is in the South. Humidity and heat come with the territory. Weather changes on a dime, so if you’re traveling in spring and fall, bring a variety of running season apparel.
However, those are the best times to run on the dirt trails. Spring is great because everything is blooming. Fall is nice because of the changing of the foliage. In summer, bring water and run early. This is a very friendly running community! If you need someone to run with, check out our Little Rock training programs!
With sidewalks and paved routes around the city and trails galore, you’ll find the best running routes in no time. Here’s a few to get you started.
