How many years have you been running:
I have been running since I was a teenager, I think probably 13.
Coaching Philosophy:
Be an example for the other runners. Any workout I write I will be participating in.I try to
always stay optimistic and be grateful I have an opportunity to participate in something I love
to do and that I can give back to the community in a small way.
What is your favorite thing about coaching:
The excitement that comes over people after they’ve achieved something that they were
doubtful about in the beginning. I love the energy on the track or in the store after our runs.
Just seeing how happy and chatty and excited the program members are after they’ve
completed another huge accomplishment.
What is your favorite race to run:
My favorite races when I think about it are the 10k and the Half Marathon. The 10k is still a
very fast race but definitely more forgiving than a 5k if you’re shooting for a quick time. The
half marathon is definitely a challenge but a perfect distance for a run in my opinion.
What is your favorite shoe to run in:
There are so many! Lately I’ve been using the Saucony Kinvara for the fast tempo workouts
at the track. It's nice and light and flexible which is just ideal. I’m alson stocking up on the
Hoka Rincon 3 because its just a wonderful road shoe and my new favorite is the On
Cloudmonster very cushioned but also very quick. I can’t wait to try out the new
Cloudmonster when it comes out!
