It is always fun when we see couples start their running journey together at one of our Training Programs! Kristin and John Lunsford are one such couple! They began their journey together in No Boundaries I in Mt. Pleasant, and have been running ever since! John is currently the Coach for No Boundaries II, and Kristin is a NOBO I grad with her sights set on No Boundaries II this upcoming Winter Session.

We caught up with Kristin and John to interview them for Wear My Shoes. Here is what they had to say:
Kristin
FF: Of all the shoes you wear, which are your favorite and why?
Kristin: My oofos flip flops for sure. Unless I’m working out, that’s probably what is on my feet.
FF: Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
Kristin: I got the nickname Pate in college which is a shortened version of my maiden name Payton because there are too many Kristins or similar in my age bracket.
FF: What was your first job?
Kristin: Kmart cashier as soon as I turned 16.
FF: What’s your favorite family tradition?
Kristin: Probably everything associated with Christmas. Especially decorating.
FF: Aside from necessities, what’s something you can’t live without?
Kristin: My iPhone
FF: If you had 30 minutes of free time, what would you do?
Kristin: New York Times crossword puzzle app
FF: If you were Waldo, where would you be?
Kristin: Taking a nap under a red and white striped blanket.
John
FF: Of all the shoes you wear, which are your favorite and why?
John: My Hoka Arahi's. These shoes have made a big difference in my comfort while I run. Which means they have made a big difference in my health and fitness
FF: Have you ever had a nickname? What is it?
John: Johnny Law. When I was in law school, I joked that I would use "Johnny Law" as my nickname when I was chasing ambulances, and that my billboard slogan would be "put The Law to work for you!" While I've never chased any ambulances, the nickname has stuck.
FF: What was your first job?
John: Acting in The Trail of the Lonesome Pine the Summer after I graduated high school.
FF: What’s your favorite family tradition?
John: Doing the NY Times Sunday crossword puzzle together.
FF: Aside from necessities, what’s something you can’t live without?
John: A good friend and a good dog.
FF: If you had 30 minutes of free time, what would you do?
John: Read a book or listen to a podcast.
FF: If you were Waldo, where would you be?
John: In a book store or a library.
