No, this is not a gum commercial, it’s a chance for you to run in town and then out of town. We will kick off this running day with the Hesse Bear Stomp taking place at Hesse Elementary School starting at 8:30am. C’mon out and support the Hesse Athletics program, and all its funds will go towards keeping kids active. This is a fun 5K course in a neighborhood that we don’t usually get a chance to run thru. And since all of you are athletes, and you know budgets get tight for these schools, why not take the morning to support a school and its athletic programs? The kids run will start at 8:15am and the 5K will go off at 8:30am. Then we pack our trailer back up and head to Beaufort, SC for the Beaufort Twilight Run and Oyster Roast. Now we always have a good time at the Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run post-race party; and the Critz Tybee Run Fest after party is always a must. But if you want to go and run a race that has one of the BEST post-race parties around, then you need to follow us up to the Beaufort Twilight Run and Oyster Roast this weekend. It is also one of the most scenic runs in the Low Country. You have a choice of an 8K or 5K, and everything about this event makes for a great time in Beaufort. USATF Certified course, Military discounts, cash awards, and a post-race party that is hard to beat. You will have plenty of time to get out there – the 5K starts at 5pm and the 8K starts at 6:15pm.
