Four Miles of Fun
"Four miles of fun." "A great time to get the whole family together." "An excuse to eat/drink as much as I want later in the day." No matter how you phrase it, the 8th annual Turkey Trot is right around the corner and is certainly worth crawling out of bed for, from both a charity (The United Way of the Coastal Empire) and race perspective. Beginning and ending in lovely Daffin Park, the course meanders through the Ardsley Park/Chatham Crescent area of town; teamed with a crispness in the air, countless people dressed in varying forms of turkey-related costuming, and post-race Frito Pie...well, it makes for a darn good way to start your Thanksgiving Day. So if you need an excuse to get away from your in-laws, or a way out of having to mash the potatoes, we have a race for you. Or if you already know that you'll end up eating an entire pecan pie, or downing an entire relish tray...well, we still have a race for you. So come one, come all on Thursday, November 24 and join us at the 8th annual United Way Turkey Trot; you won't regret it...just like you won't regret that third helping of mashed potatoes you'll likely wolf down both because you're ashamed that you're somehow still hungry and because they're so darn good!
