Meet New Store Owner Mike Nadeau

Fleet Feet Savannah is excited to announce Mike Nadeau as our new store owner. Originally opened in 2002 by Robert and Cookie Espinoza, the store, through their leadership, became the hub and heart of the Savannah-area running community.

Mike and his wife Mary Burke Wimbish Nadeau have been longtime customers of the store and residents of the Savannah community. Mike was in the Air Force for ten years during which time he served in seven countries. Since then, he’s gained years of business experience in the beverage industry with a focus on leadership and staff development.

When asked about the path that led Mike to Fleet Feet Savannah ownership, he commented, "When I turned 40, I realized I needed to make my health a priority and get in shape. I had an ultimate dream of completing an Ironman and, in 2015, crossed the finish line of Ironman Florida with a tremendous sense of accomplishment. My wife, who does not come from a running background, decided in 2011 to participate in the Couch to 5K training program. Not only did she complete a 5K, she joined the inaugural Fleet Feet Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah half marathon training program, which empowered her to cross the finish line." Mike continued, "If you want to surround yourself with happy, well-adjusted people, I encourage you to enter a race and introduce yourself to your fellow competitors. This is the culture I embrace and want to enhance and build upon. I plan to utilize Fleet Feet Savannah as a platform for enriching the local running community and beyond."
