Thank you, Savannah
How does one thank a community that has shown so much love and support in our time of need? There are no actions quite meritable enough, and no words with sufficient eloquence to express our gratitude. In attempt to convey our immense appreciation, we'll simply say these words: "Thank you, Savannah."
Shortly after Robert's passing someone told me I would experience a lot of firsts. I didn't fully comprehend what this meant until I was filling out a race entry form and got to the emergency contact section. For the first time in forever, I wasn't able to write his name or information down. Something that seemed so simple hit me with the strength of a ten foot wave. This was one of my many firsts. Another first is swiftly approaching; the first anniversary of Robert's passing. I will be spending time in Austin, TX with our son Alex and both sides of our family.
I wanted to let the amazing Savannah community know that we are okay. Some days are good, some are bad, but we are working through this tragedy. Thank you again for all of your love and support. It hasn't been easy to keep moving forward, but your love and generosity have given us and the store new life and helped us to realize that the show must go on, and that we owe it to ourselves and you Savannah to be the very best Fleet Feet we can.
As Robert would say..."Keep Your Chin Up for Strength, and Down for Prayer"
