Are you someone who has suffered from heel pain that has kept you from running? Do you have pain associated with your first steps in the morning but then it gets better as the day goes on? Are you curious if some new shoes, insoles, or massage tools will alleviate your foot discomfort?
Come check out our free plantar fasciitis screening event with Dr. Kelsey Dehmer, Physical Therapist and Clinical Director at Therapydia Ballard. We are offering 15-minute slots where you can speak in-person with Dr. Dehmer, get screened, and learn specific things you can do to treat your pain or prevent it! We’d love to assist you inside the store as well with any of your footwear needs.
Kelsey recently became the Clinical Director of Therapydia Ballard but has been working with runners of all kinds for the past 8 years. She received extra training and certification through RunPT and is board certified in orthopedics (OCS). When finding the best treatment path, she utilizes a combination of evidence-based research, patient preference, and her own personal experience with sports and rehabilitation. She is also a pelvic floor specialist and often works with runners to establish better breathing patterns, more efficient gait patterns through video analysis as well as specializing in returning mom's back to running. The foot is a huge part of any runner's gait and without proper care, shoewear and alignment, any injury is possible. She is excited to share her knowledge of the foot and what can be done to keep everyone healthy and happy going into Spring.
