Fall Half and Full Marathon Program
Whether this is your first time attempting a half or full marathon or you’re a veteran of long distance running, let us help you cross the finish line. Our 14-week Fall Distance training program is designed to help you confidently reach your goals with the end of the program culminating with the Seattle Half and Full Marathon! With a great coaching staff, Fleet Feet Seattle & Ballard is ready to lead you in your training.
This program leads up to the UW Medicine Seattle Half and Full Marathon on December 1st! Race registration is not included or required for participation!
Program Details
* Program Dates: August 28th - December 7th
* Professionally designed 14-week training program excellent for both first-timers or experienced runners
* Half marathon program is for runners who are currently comfortable running 4 miles, Full marathon program for runners who are comfortable running 7 miles
* Two weekly group practices on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm and Saturday mornings at 8:00 am
* Workouts will alternate between the Capitol Hill and Ballard neighborhoods. Primarily occurring at Garfield High School and Ballard High School. Workouts will include hill repeats, track workouts, tempo runs, and more.
* Saturday long runs will move around town to mix up routes. The furthest North that we will run is Golden Gardens and the furthest South that we will run is Seward Park. You will receive a full calendar with meetup locations at the start of the program.
* Comprehensive weekly email with group announcements, workout and route details, training tips, and weekly motivation will be included!

Week 1 example:
Monday - 3 miles EZ
Tuesday - Rest Day or 20 minutes EZ
Wednesday - Workout (10 minute warmup, 4-6 x hills with recovery jog, 5-10 minute cool down, Core Exercises)
Thursday - Rest Day or 20 minutes EZ
Friday - 35 minutes EZ
Saturday - Long Run: 3-6 miles
Sunday - Rest Day
