Nike?s Air Zoom Structure Stability Shoe Turns 21 Years Old
For 21 years, the Nike Air Zoom Structure has been the go-to stability shoe for runners who overpronate.
A wide, flat outsole combined with two types of cushioning offer stability. Firmer foam cushions the arch side of the foot, while a softer foam cushions the outer side. This creates the right amount of impact protection and stability for your stride. The shoe uses visible Flywire with an internal arch band, Dynamic Fit technology provides stability that adapts to you. The top two eyelets are Flywire—strong yet ultralight cables—that work with the laces to provide more support as you tighten them. Plus, an elastic band wraps around your arch to help keep your foot from sliding as you run.
Nike’s Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot delivers the springy, responsive ride to power through every mile. Surrounding the Zoom Air unit are two types of cushioning foam that creates the right amount of impact protection and stability for your stride.
Thanks to the updated Flymesh material in the upper, this version is lighter than ever and offers a more breathable feel paired with the snappy, springy feel underfoot and a honeycomb-shaped outsole pattern has been added for traction.
