Don't fret, limited entries still available through official charity teams.
Check your email, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon announced via a press release that runners who entered through the non-guaranteed entry process will notified of their selection status on Thursday, December 12th. If you didn't get an email you can access your participant account.
If you didn't receive that golden ticket of an email, runners who did not receive an entry through the drawing can still sign up for guaranteed entry through a limited number of charity entries available through the marathon’s official Charity Program.
In 2019, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon announced that more than 12,000 runners raised $27.1 million. Since the charity program was officially established in 2002, more than 106,000 runners have raised over $234 million for local, national and global causes.
The list of charities below guarantee entry into the race and are still looking for team members.
Runners who register to run with an official charity at this time will be required to raise a minimum of $1750.
Not only do you get guaranteed entry, you also get 18 weeks of group professional training through Chicago Endurance Sports and some of them even waive your training fee. You just have to worry about raising money for a good cause. Take a look at the list of charities below and check out what they do, read their quick pitch, and how to get involved.
