The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 4% is Here in Royal Blue

The world's fastest shoe is now available in a new Royal Blue colorway available at our flagship Old Town store.

Since its debut in the summer of 2017, the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 4% has seen its share of medal stands.

That includes New York, where Shalane Flanagan (2:26:53) and Geoffrey Kamworor (2:10:53), who both won in the shoe. Five of the six podium finishers in Boston wore it, and Galen Rupp had a pair on when he became the first American in 15 years to win the Chicago Marathon. Flanagan puts it simply, "This shoe is a game changer."

Science backs this up, as the Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 4% is the most efficient marathon shoe Nike has ever sold. In lab tests, it measured roughly 4% better for running economy than Nike's latest and fastest marathon racer, the Zoom Streak 6.

The ZoomX foam technology took over four years to develop and cushioning system utilizes technology that promises an 85% return of energy, an updated carbon fiber plate to enhance the sensation of propulsion forward, and a rubber outsole for better forefoot traction.

In terms of design, we get a look at the ZoomX VaporFly 4% in a brand new Royal Blue colorway that features a bold forefoot Swoosh and a contrasting white, "Breaking2" text on the medial midsole that reads ‘Engineered to the exact specifications of world-class runners.'
