Brooks' Sports Bra Collection Gets an Update Including a New $34 Option
It's true: Sports Bras can be expensive. Worth it, but expensive. To soften the blow, I often like to calculate the dollars per mile. It's just like invensting in a pair of designer jeans (only you'll be sweating in it.) You might feel a little guilty, but in the end its worth it. No more chafing. No more bouncing. Just comfortable running. Treat 'yo self.
If I were to invest in the Brooks Juno sports bra ($65) at the beginning of each training cycle (probably a good idea to do - sports bras should not have a birthday!), it would go something like this:
$65 divided by 30 miles/week = $1.67 dollars/mile/week
$1.67 dollars/mile/week / 18 weeks (avg. marathon training cycle) = $0.12 - 12 cents per mile.
That's nothing. And, considering you may or may not run more miles per week and keep the bra for longer than 18 weeks (we recommend a year) that's fractions of pennies per mile.
Now, on to what you're really here for to see Brooks' new sports bra. Meet the FastForward Crossback.
FastForward Crossback
The FastForward Crossback is Brooks' answer to a great bra plus a great pricepoint. This medium impact bra is stylish and offers full adjustability - for $34.
JustRight Racerback
The JustRight Racerback has been a staple in our line now for a while. It's seamless design and removable cups make it the easiest bra in the bunch to get off and on. Though it is rated for Medium impact, we recommend using this bra for lower impact activities.
UpRise Crossback
We're going on year 3 with the sister bras - UpRise and UpLift - and we're super happy with their fit, function, and fashion. You can count on the UpLift to make morning runs a snap. The UpRise fits the A/B size gal best.
UpLift Crossback
Again, can we stress how much we love these bras? Probably not. The major difference between the two bras is the UpRise is best for C/D cup gals. A little thicker straps plus a J-hook closure provide just a little more support.
Fiona Bra
The Fiona is the bra that has women coming back for more. It's easy to see why - easy on-off, fun colors, medium impact, and it's comfortable. That last one is probably the function most women value. Who wants to wrangle out of a sweaty bra at the end of the workout (no we aren't knocking the other bras!) - just unhook and done. The Fiona is also band-and-cup sizes meaning we can find the perfect fitting size for you.
Maia Bra
Ahh, the classic Maia. Designed for full cup sizes, the Maia features comfort straps and underwire for a cozy and supportive fit. Maia also provides a lot of coverage for women who don't want to bare it all with their bra.
Rebound Racer
The Rebound Racer has been around for a while - and it's not going away either - for good reason! If you find yourself wearing two bras for running or activity, first, stop, second, try the Rebound Racer. The compressive fit gives you what you want - that lockdown feeling and the adjustable straps allow for a custom fit, espeically with the band-and-cup sizing.
Juno Sport Bra
Last year, the Juno updated and it launched to become our #1 bra (overtaking Fiona) almost immediately. Women are loving the light compression, molded - yet breathable - cups, and ability to customize the fit with the straps and hooks in the back. Best of all, the silhouette looks awesome under tanks or on its own.
