For many triathletes and aspiring triathletes, the swim is the most challenging part of a triathlon. Fleet Feet coached swim sessions go beyond group swimming sessions and introduces a level of hands-on instruction to help athletes improve with a strong focus on swim technique. This program is a great add-on for anyone who wants to improve their swimming.
All levels are welcome to participate. The training sessions will focus on various swim techniques and drills. To participate you will need, at a minimum, a swimsuit, goggles and a water bottle. New this year, we will introduce more advanced drills that will use the following swim training tools: hand paddles, buoys, fins and center snorkels, available at Fleet Feet Knoxville. Swim Training Program participants receive:
- Hands on coaching to guide you through various drills and exercises to improve swim technique
- Access to the indoor saltwater pool at the Davis YMCA during coached sessions
- E-mail support – the coach will answer individual questions regarding training and swimming related issues.
