Meet Your Coach
Join 2:22:47 marathoner and 12x NAIA National qualifier Jacob Kocis for Fleet Feet group training or sign up for personal training plans. Along with being an RRCA certified coach, Jacob has 5 years of college running experience at Midway University where he has run a 14:58 5k and 4:19 mile.
He has also had success training a handful of high school runners remotely. His passion for improvement and care for people is what sets him apart. He helps individuals reach their goals through customized weekly training programs and his personal running experiences.
Personal Training Options
As a Personal Coaching client, you'll work one-on-one with your coach to build a completely custom online training plan for your goals. Your coach will provide support every step of the way via email, phone calls, virtual meetings, and comments on your activities on Strava.
Our clients subscribe to Personal Coaching to prepare for a goal race, to receive structure and accountability, and to receive professional, evidence-based guidance on their personal athletic journey. We coach athletes of all levels, from first-time runners to marathoners, and everyone in between.

Personalized Training Programs
- Introductory 30 minute call
- Every coaching program we design starts with a clear understanding of who you are, where you've been, and why you want to do what you're doing. We use this to identify the exact elements of your training program that will be most beneficial to you.
- Intake Questionnaire
- Once we have an idea of what you're trying to do and why, we need to get an understanding of your level of skill and your basic fitness foundation. We use this to set a baseline and create the pace and effort for your plan.
- Weekly Group Run
- It is very important that you be accountable in your program and that you share your journey with like-minded runners. For this reason we invite you to attend our Wednesday Night Fun Runs to help provide accountability and make new friends in the process!
- Weekly Check-ins
- Understanding the challenges you face each week and how your body and mind respond to the training allows us to adapt and improve the plan. These weekly check-ins are your opportunity to give us the fine details we need to make the most of the time you spend in reaching your goals and to continue to give tips and other advice.
