Join the 2024 Pleasant View Turkey Trot: A Fun-Filled Family Event!

Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join the 5th Annual Pleasant View Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 16th, 2024, at Pleasant View Elementary in Meridian, Idaho. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun family outing, this community event is perfect for all ages and abilities!

Event Details

This year’s Turkey Trot promises an exciting day filled with laughter, community spirit, and opportunities to give back. Here’s what you can look forward to:

• Pleasant View Turkey Trot 5K: The 5K course will take participants on a scenic route around Pleasant View Elementary and nearby neighborhoods. All 5K participants will be chip-timed and receive a t-shirt and entry into a drawing for fantastic prizes! The top runners will be awarded trophies, and kids who participate will receive a race medal. The race kicks off at 9:15 AM.

• Pleasant View Turkey Scramble 1K: This shorter race is perfect for younger kids who want to join in the fun. The 1K starts at 9:00 AM, and every child will receive a completion medal and a t-shirt.

Support a Great Cause

All proceeds from the Pleasant View Turkey Trot go directly to Pleasant View Elementary, benefiting teacher grants, field trips, and PTA-funded programs. By participating, you’re helping support your local school and community! Donations are also welcome and can be made directly through the Turkey Trot donation page.

Important Dates

• T-shirt Deadline: Register by October 30th to guarantee your t-shirt size!
• Packet Pickup:
  • Friday, November 15th, from 3:45 PM – 5:00 PM in front of the school.
  • Saturday, November 16th, from 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM in the school cafeteria.

Late registration will be available during packet pickup hours. Please note that payment via credit or debit card is required.

Post-Race Fun

After the race, stick around for some fun and relaxation! There will be music, a photo booth, prizes, and delicious treats from local food trucks offering coffee, hot cocoa, and breakfast snacks. The prize drawing will take place after the 5K, and you must be present to win!

• Wear your t-shirt: All participants are encouraged to wear their Turkey Trot t-shirt during the race.
• Timing chips: 5K participants will receive a race number with a timing chip, which activates when you cross the start line.
• Family-friendly: This event is stroller-friendly and welcomes runners of all abilities.
