Chris Braker made his start with Fleet Feet back in 2014, where he started with Fleet Feet Knoxville, TN creating purchase orders 5 hours a week. From there, he fell in love with the local running shop feel and started taking on more responsibilities within the business, one of those being an Outfitter. This is where he helped local runners, walkers, and comfort seekers find their best fit.
After a few years, he started yearning for the chance to own his own specialty store and serve his community in a greater capacity. Seeking more knowledge and experience, he packed up all his belongings and left everything behind to move to Cincinnati, OH, and learn from the franchisee that owned the two Cincinnati stores.
It was here he met his now-wife, Kirsten as she was also an employee at Fleet Feet Cincinnati. They were married within 15 months. They worked together for a couple of years in Cincy before Chris was offered a job as Operating Partner of two Fleet Feet stores in Wichita, KS. Kirsten took on a role as Marketing Manager for Chris and the stores.
After a short time in Kansas, Kirsten and Chris made another big move to Mishawaka, IN to run the Fleet Feet over there. It was here that they had their first child, Henry Braker in March of 2020.
As of May 21st, 2021, Chris has taken on the role of Operating Partner for Fleet Feet Syracuse. While a lot has changed in a few short years for them, they intend to make Syracuse their forever home. Even after a few short weeks in the state, they're already in love with the beauty of our city and the surrounding area. And the best part is his passion for serving his community and its residents is greater than ever. Expect to see more exciting things come from Fleet Feet Syracuse!
