I could run the 5k distance before joining the No Boundaries program, however, I did not enjoy the running and I did not feel good afterward. Understanding the physical and mental benefits of running, I decided to join a running group to help with my form and mindset. Enter Fleet Feet’s NoBo program in spring 2021. The program format definitely helped with conditioning and greatly improved my running form. At our goal race, I beat my previous best finish time by just over six minutes! After the success of my 5k session, I eagerly joined the NoBo 10k program to similar achievements.
In addition to learning about running, I learned that it is a lot easier to run with people. Having someone with you for conversation and encouragement helps the miles go by quickly. I have made a great group of friends through the NoBo program.
I have enjoyed and benefited from the program so much as a participant that I have become a coach for both 5k and 10k groups. It has been a rewarding experience meeting new people and helping them achieve their running goals.
