Meet Laura Schilly, our Spotlight Outfitter for April 2021.

Q: How long have you worked at Fleet Feet?
A: 8 fabulous years... maybe 9? 

Q: What’s your favorite shoe?
A: Any Altra... let your toes be free!

Q: What’s your favorite thing about working at Fleet Feet Syracuse?
A: Meeting all sorts of people from all walks of life. Every day is different. Maybe you just need a comfy pair of shoes... I got you! Maybe you’re a brand new runner... let’s chat! Maybe you’re already a runner but want to see the latest and greatest... I’ve got that, too! I love to hear your stories and share a bit of mine.

Q: If you could be any shoe, what would you be and why?
A: On running (any style)... cool, somewhat understated, and unexpectedly awesome. 

Q: When you’re not at Fleet Feet, what’re you doing?
A: Cooking for my partner who doesn’t know her way around the kitchen (I love new recipes), building (I love power tools), running (mostly outside but I do love the Peloton app!), petting my dogs, and my full time love is teaching high school English.

Q: Where is your favorite running spot in the #3run5?
A: My favorite runs take me all over South Campus to Meadowbrook to portions of DeWitt, but we can’t leave out Green Lakes and the surrounding routes that our Fleet Feet family is all too familiar with. 

Q: If you had to give a TedTalk, what would it be on?
A: Usually, I assign the TedTalk assignment... but if I had to give one, “my idea worth spreading” would be how to be yourself, be happy, be free, and say F the rest.
