Bring non-perishable food items and get coupons to Fleet Feet Tucson

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona's signature event, HungerWalk, brings together families, friends and community partners to walk, build awareness and raise funds to end hunger. 

HungerWalk will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. in two locations - Tucson and Green Valley, as well as remotely for anyone who wants to participate but cannot make it in person. 

The Tucson event will take walkers through CFB's main warehouse and demonstration garden, giving participants an inside perspective of how food banking works and the steps we are taking to alleviate hunger in southern Arizona. Each location will have activities for all ages, as well as a light breakfast at the end of the event. 

The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona responds to the root causes of hunger, and seeks to restore dignity, health, opportunity and hope to people living in poverty. Their mission is to change lives in the communities they serve by feeding the hungry today, and building a healthy, hunger-free tomorrow. 

Their programs include emergency food assistance and free meals, as well as a farmers’ market, community gardens, nutrition education, culinary training, support for local growers and food systems, advocacy, and more. They partner with over 350 organizations to serve five counties of Southern Arizona—over 23,000 square miles.

Fleet Feet Tucson is collecting donations now through Saturday, September 9 at each of our two Tucson locations. Bring in your non-perishable food items and receive a $5 coupon for each item donated up to a maximum of $10 in coupons per day.*
