Letter from Our Owner

Happy New Year from all of us at Fleet Feet Tucson! 

I want to take a moment to thank all of you for sticking with us on this wild roller coaster ride we've ridden for the last year. 2020 was incredibly challenging for retail businesses, and to say I've had some sleepless nights would be an understatement.

Nine months ago in March when the governor enacted stay at home orders and businesses all around the state were shutting down, my team and I made the decision we would continue to serve our customers as best we could through curbside pickups, online orders and appointments. Lara, Steve and I spent long, lonely days by ourselves at each store at the beginning of April praying that the phone would ring, and then praying that it would stop when we couldn't keep up.  Thankfully, we received a PPP loan which enabled me to write pay checks and rent checks. We made enough sales that I could keep paying our vendors and utilities and things started to turn around. The Tucson community embraced shopping locally and staying fit--thank you so much for keeping Fleet Feet Tucson going!!

While the days ahead are still uncertain, we're excited to continue our support for you and your families in your commitment to stay healthy and fit. Here're are some things I know will be true for us this year:

A continued commitment to the best shopping experience 
I know you have many options when it comes to buying your shoes and gear. Your choice to shop at Fleet Feet means the world to me and my team, and we will continue to offer the best customer experience anywhere in Tucson. Through ongoing education and training, our team brings the most knowledge, insight, and compassion that you'll find in retail. We continue to offer walk-in shopping, curbside pickups and shopping by appointment. 

Premium Products

You've come to expect only the best products at Fleet Feet, and that's what we will continue to offer this year. We're excited about awesome updates to your favorite shoes, as well as the possibility of custom Superfeet insoles this year. Come in to either Fleet Feet Tucson location to experience the next level of FIT!

Awesome Events and Group Runs/Walks
We always want to provide opportunities for the community to come together and have some fun while being healthy. That still looks different than in the past, but we are hopeful we will be able to bring back our popular events Brews and Shoes,The Big Run 5K and the Trail to Tarmac Challenge for 2021. I'm excited to continue our partnership with Everyone Runs for live and in-person events this year, so stay tuned for more info on that!

Our weekly Thirsty Thursday Fun Run at The Annex and Training Groups are going strong, too, so come join us!

A commitment to our community 
We're very proud to support many Tucson-area organizations and efforts that enhance the health and wellbeing of our community. Last year with help from your amazing generosity and awesome brand partners, we gave away dozens of HOKAs to frontline workers with our HOKA for Heroes program. We've been collecting donations for the Tucson Community Food Bank and are excited to see those items help Tucson families in need. We will continue to support our frontline workers, public lands, and families in need this year. Dollars spent at Fleet Feet really do stay right here in Tucson! 

Once again, THANK YOU, Tucson! 2020 has taught us many things, but, in my opinion, the most important is exercise and fitness need to be a priority for each one of us. They benefit both physical and mental heath and improve our ability to fight infections. Let me and my team help keep you on track this year!
