Registration for our Beat the Heat Training Groups and Trail Run Club is Open!

What matters isn't where you are today; it's where you want to go. Welcome to the Fleet Feet Tucson Training Groups! At Fleet Feet, We believe that "Running and Walking Changes Everything".  It trims our waistlines and boosts our immune systems. It makes our hearts and minds strong. It empowers us to tackle new adventures in our personal and professional lives. It connects us to new people who quickly become "sole" mates. It makes us laugh and sometimes can make us cry. It allows us to indulge in our favorite food and drink. It gives us purpose. It enables us to do something good for ourselves! 

Our Beat the Heat summer training groups begin Saturday, May 3, 2025! 

There are three groups: 5K, 10K, and Half-Marathon for the Beat the Heat road, and one group for the Beat the Heat Trail Run Club (see below). 

Here's what you can expect:

  • Weekly run/walk workouts
  • Weekly strength and conditioning videos you can do at home
  • Weekly emails and videos from coaches
  • Social media groups to share our success!

You can train virtually with us for any of our groups. You'll receive the same training plan and weekly email with workouts and coaching info. 

Two meetings per week on Tuesday @ 6:15 pm and early Saturday mornings (5-7 am)

Tuesdays @ 6:15 pm - Track night - Catalina High School (not Catalina Foothills). 

Saturdays - Fleet Feet on Tanque Verde - times vary between 5-7 am

We will train together for approximately 10 weeks.

Fleet Feet Beat the Heat Trail Run Club

This is a trail-specific running club. The goal is to help you become more confident with trail running, and introduce you to great Tucson trails.

Trails are an exciting adventure and are safer and more fun with a group. We hope this group will increase your confidence on trails and provide friendship and camaraderie. Building a community is so important for our health and well-being, and what better way to achieve this than running in new and exciting places with friends.

Perhaps you have been running on the road for a long time and are ready to change things up a little. We are here ready to help you in this journey! 

This is a group designed for experienced road runners new to trail running and experienced trail runners looking for structure and a group. If you are new to running in general, please check out our beginner runner training programs! Safety is our top priority, so we expect all participants to carry water, first aid equipment, a GPS-enabled watch, and smartphone. 

Registration for our Beat the Heat Trail Run Club is now open! 

Training begins on Saturday, May 3, 2025. 

Participants should be comfortable running 6 miles in 1.5 hours on the road (15-minute miles). You do not need to have trail running experience. 

Two meetings per week with an optional third meeting. 

Tuesday @ 6:15 pm - track/hills/trail drills at either Catalina High School or Sabino Canyon - This will involve speed work, hills, and trail specific drills to help prepare you.

Saturdays - trail runs at various locations around Tucson giving you the opportunity to experience Tucson's beautiful trails - times vary between 5-7 am 

Bonus optional run on Monday evenings

This trail session begins on Saturday, May 3rd, with a short meeting and a group run.
