Altra Torin 5
Nice shoe
Great shoes
These shoes are so comfortable it’s my go to on everyday plus running. Highly recommend!
Almost perfect
Best Torin to date...have worn the 2335 and 4....this fits my odd shaped foot like a glove...BUT dont know what they were thinking with the tongue...it isnt a problem for me but see how it could be for some......too sharp
Torin 5
I love the Torin 5 heal fit; really feels locked in and secure! The cushioning is good enough to pound pavement (as I’m a Clydesdale) 255lbs. 6’1.As always with the Altra toebox there is plenty of comfort up front for the piggies to splay in! The only dislike; the edge of the unpadded tongue rides against the point where top of foot and bottom of leg meet…the material of the tongue is plenty soft but it is thin with no padding and caused my legs to scab a thin crease much like a paper cut after only an easy 10K. Ouch!! To be fair I was wearing very low cut socks so my next run out the problem was cured by taller socks. All in all these runners are very pleasing and were a great bargain at the price!! I’m ordering another pair to carry me through winter.
Excellent
The most comfortable shoes I’ve ever run in. These also make great walking shoes.
Torin 5 (Navy)
This is my second pair of the Altra Torin 5 and they are great shoes. They fit true to size have ample room in the toe box and although I only use them for walking they have held up very well in all aspects.
Altra Torin 5
Top the tongue is rigid and sharp. Really can't wear below the ankle socks as they are not tall enough to protect your foot from the sharp tongue of the shoe.
Mens sneakers
Shoes are attractive and are a good fit.
Awful shoe tongue
I've been using Torin's since version 1.5 and they've always been great. This year version 5 the tongue is a stiff piece of thin rubber. After my first 3 mile run/jog -> I was bleeding from both feet from the tongue cutting into my upper foot -> it was raw and the skin literally rubbed off. Trying to find a solution -> bandaids don't stay on. Found pads made for shoe tongues... seems to help a little.
