Brooks Ghost Max
Features
Get the most out of every walk and run with the Brooks Ghost Max.
This shoe is full of cushion and comfort thanks to the amount of super soft and bouncy DNA Loft v2 midsole foam underfoot. Our runners loved the smooth ride and cushioned feel in our Brooks Ghost Max review. One of the best shoes for standing all day, the Brooks Ghost Max uses a unique rocker geometry to make your walks and runs feel effortless while taking pressure off of the soft tissues in your feet.
The Brooks Ghost Max will help you do more—whether that is taking another walk around the block, running another mile or working just a little more comfortably.
Details
- Upper: Breathable mesh. The high volume linear last is accommodating to many different foot shapes and allows you to easily put an orthotic insert into this shoe. A padded tongue and collar complete this comfortable upper.
- Midsole: a high stack of super-soft DNA Loft v2 foam and Brooks’ GlideRoll Rocker work together to decrease pressure underfoot for protective comfort. The GlideRoll Rocker makes your runs feel effortless and it seamlessly rolls you through your heel/toe transitions.
- Outsole: A wider last gives you a more stable and protected ride, while a central decoupled outsole provides additional stability that doesn’t interfere with a neutral stride.

Who It’s Best For
The Brooks Ghost Max is a great shoe for anyone who wants a cushioned, effortless ride as they walk or run. It is ideal for those with different foot ailments*, such as plantar fasciitis and Morton’s neuroma because of the GlideRoll Rocker, soft cushioning and lower offset. It also has an accommodating foot shape for those that have thicker orthotic inserts.

Why You’ll Love It
Differences Between Brooks Ghost 15 and Ghost Max
The biggest difference between the Brooks Ghost 15 and Ghost Max is the heel-to-toe transition experience. The Brooks Ghost 15 is designed to be flexible and move with your foot, while the Brooks Ghost Max is designed to move for your foot—so it’s slightly more rigid with a rocker for smoother transitions.
Another thing you will notice about the Ghost Max vs. the Brooks Ghost 15 is that the Brooks Ghost Max has more cushion and a taller midsole stack height. To complement the different transition experience, the heel-to-toe offset of the Ghost Max is 6 mm as opposed to the Ghost 15’s 12 mm drop. Brooks added 8 mm more cushion in the forefoot and 2 mm more cushion in the heel of the Ghost Max.

Not a runner but I wear these at work and I'm on my feet all day. These are crazy comfortable. This is my first try at Brooks and after trying on in local store I bought them. true to size. plenty of toe space. soft uppers. Excellent shoe.
Awesome Shoes
Great cushion shoes with excellent side support. Best shoes I have ever owned.
Amazing
They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn
Worth
I didn't get the hype but these definitely are some of the most comfortable sneakers I've owned. My feet are super wide and super tall but these don't cramp me up at all. Would definitely recommend.
Cushion problem
Cushion started to go away after 3 weeks of regular use.
Great shoes
These are great shoes. I have had plantar fasciitis for almost 4 months. The Ghost shoes combined with orthotics and a brace have made symptoms almost disappear. I wear these almost all day when not playing sports. I played a pickleball tournament last Sat. and no pain Monday morning. I could hardly walk after tournament 3 weeks ago. The shoes have felt great wearing from day1.
Big difference.
Bought a pair of shoes back in the spring that started hurting after a couple of months every step was painful. Neighbor suggested Fleet Feet. Guy who helped us was very knowledgeable. Asked my needs brought out 3 shoes. All felt good but one just a bit better. Only problem they were very colorful. Special ordered same shoe in Black and shipped to me in 3 days! Started feeling better by the weekend and now after 6 weeks feet feel much better for a 73yo guy! RD
