Features
Nike brought its most dominant track spike to the starting line with the ZoomX Dragonfly 2 Elite to help you reach new levels of speed. These race-day shoes are worn by some of the fastest 5k and 10k runners in the world—and are built for anyone wanting to crush their distance PRs.
With a sleek style, the Dragonfly 2 Elite perfectly blends performance and comfort. The perforated upper brings unmatched breathability. The combination of the resilient foam and snappy carbon plate creates an ideal midsole for longer track races. Four spikes on the outsole provide the strong connection you need on the track.
This performance track spike is supportive enough to help you endure races without your feet feeling too exhausted. Look no further if you’re wanting to take the next strides towards top-tier performance.
Details
- Upper: New soft and stretchy yarns make up the upper, resulting in a conforming, barely-there fit to help you go the distance. The Matumbo hole at the heel reduces weight and enhances stability. Overall, the upper brings impeccable comfort and breathability to the shoe.
- Midsole: Nike’s ultralight ZoomX foam meets a responsive full-length carbon plate in the midsole. The ZoomX foam is Nike’s most resilient to date, bringing a high level of energy return with every stride. The curved design of the carbon plate lends itself to remarkable snappiness and smooth transitions.
- Outsole: Four permanent spikes on the forefoot give you a stable connection on the track. The material of the spikes themselves has minimal flexibility, making them incredibly fast and versatile. Spike length is approximately ¼ inch; be sure to check spike length regulations for your specific track meet to ensure these shoes comply. The underside of this spike also features a sharkskin heel for added traction and outsole foam for more durability.
