Saucony redesigned the Triumph 20 from the top to the bottom. A new upper design provides for a more secure fit around the heel. The new PWRRUN+ midsole is 5 percent lighter, more resilient and more cushioned. Saucony increased the stack height of the shoe from the previous version, which in turn raised the heel-to-toe drop from 8mm to 10mm. Finally, Saucony changed the midsole geometry to give it rocker-like attributes to provide for smoother transitions. All of these changes make the Triumph 20 significantly lighter and more cushioned than previous versions.

The foam on the outsole is very weak and on rainy days or when the road is wet these shoes are very slippery even though the cushioning and the comfort is great these shoes are unusefull on rain season.
