When Oxford graduate student George Dole lined up against Roger Bannister at Iffley Road, he wore a pair of modestly-cut shorts with contrast binding. Tracksmith long admired the not-too-long, not-too-short silhouette and decided to reimagine the style for modern runners using their 2:09 Mesh. Luxurious and lightweight, these 4” shorts are built for performance, featuring a considered, comfortable liner, three drop-in pockets and an adjustable drawstring.
