Great Vest
Great vest lightweight. So many pockets and place to store your stuff. Perfect amount of water for long runs
Exceeded Expectations
I recently purchased the Nathan VaporAir 2.0 7L Hydration Pack mainly for trail runs. Previously I have purchased Salomon Hydration Vests and have been very satisfied but was looking for a better option to carry more hydration for longer trail runs then just chest mount soft flasks. After much research I found Nathan's to be a very forward bladder brand when compared to most of other top tier brands and the VaporAir 2.0 7L got high marks from testers. I have used the vest for long road and trail runs of +14 miles and I can not say enough about the fit and comfort. At first I was worried as the fit was different from previous vest (mainly due to the bladder I had not run with before) and took a few minutes before the run to dial in the fit. First run in maybe a half mile or so it was like nothing was there. Many miles later of using the vest I forget I am even wearing a hydration vest once I get running. Some reviews will say it gets warm on your back but hey you have a pack strapped to your back in summer what else would you expect? I find this to be no worse then any of the few different Salomon vest I have used previously. Has plenty of storage for your phone (iPhone 12 no problem) gels etc. on the front and on the back of the pack you have 4 bungee draw cords for your trekking poles (also have used the lower back pocket to stow them horizontally) zippered pocket for jackets gloves etc. and a open pocket behind the bladder for additional storage. besides the 2 L bladder I carry 2 20 oz. soft flasks in the chest pockets giving me 110 ounces of hydration capacity and a lot less trips back to the car to reload with hydration. For me this vest hit all the marks I was looking for in increasing my capacity to carry plenty of hydration no matter where I was running.
