Made for sustained speed on the trails, this shoe feels like it disappears on your feet. The plated midsole keeps you running fast, helping to push you uphill with ease, while the outsole gives you plenty of traction and grip to run confidently.
Details:
- Upper: A premium one-piece upper is made with TPEE mesh that makes it soft, lightweight, durable and helps it drain faster. There is a mudflap on the toe for added protection and overlays for extra security.
- Midsole: A DNA Flash midsole is a nitrogen-infused foam that is lightweight and responsive to give you a fast ride. There is a SkyVault Trail Plate that is separated in the forefoot like little toes, so it can adapt to uneven ground and give you plenty of propulsion. It makes your uphill runs as efficient as possible.
- Outsole: A TrailTack Green outsole is now made with 25% recycled silica and directional lugs for going uphill and downhill. It offers plenty of traction on both wet and dry surfaces.

What’s New
The biggest change that Brooks made to the Catamount 3 is in the upper. They streamlined the upper and made it a single, flexible and lightweight layer mesh that moves with the foot better going uphill or side to side. They also made the shoe carbon neutral by adding more recycled materials, including TrailTack Green to the outsole, as well as offsetting any remaining emissions with independently verified carbon offsetting projects.
