Brooks Glycerin 22 Review: Fine-Tuned for Comfort?
The Glycerin 22, available February 1, has been updated with DNA Tuned cushioning, the same midsole foam used in the Glycerin Max.
The Brooks Glycerin 22 delivers an expertly balanced ride that combines luxurious comfort with responsive performance.
This max-cushioned trainer features all-new, nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned cushioning, engineered with innovative dual-size cell technology which allows Brooks’ designers to create different zones of cushioning. The result gives you plush landings in the heel that transition smoothly into energetic toe-offs, making your miles feel effortless.
In our Brooks Glycerin 22 review one of our wear-testers noted, "Overall, this shoe has a great ride. It’s smooth, soft, and has some nice pop to it.”

These shoes are not as comfortable as the Brooks Glycerin 21 style that I purchased a year or so ago. In fact, placing them side by side, the newer version is a little bit shorter than the older pair. And the insoles are not as cushiony. But I will continue to wear them in the hopes that my feet and the Glycerin 22 style will eventually enjoy a pleasant "relationship".
I love these shoes. I had Brooks years ago and went back to them and I’m so happy. They are SO comfortable and it took until hour NINE at Disneyland before my feet started hurting. I also have a wide foot and these are great! Dana, my associate, was so knowledgeable and friendly. She’s the reason I bought these shoes. Go see her!
