HOKA Gaviota 5 Review
The Gaviota 5 features softer midsole foams and new H-frame technology, replacing the J-frame support system in prior models.
The HOKA Gaviota 5 brings comfort and stability to the next level.
Soft and comfortable, you will feel like you are walking on clouds in the new Gaviota 5. HOKA re-engineered this stability shoe with an intuitive H-Frame base and wider platform to give you a smooth and stable ride that is perfect for those with flexible arches or who overpronate.
The luxury feel continues in the upper with a breathable, creel jacquard upper. A gusseted tongue hugs your foot in place, while the heel pull tab makes it easy to slip on and off. Some of our reviewers did think that this shoe ran a little large in our HOKA Gaviota 5 review, so if you are in between sizes, you may want to consider sizing down.
The HOKA Gaviota 5 brings softness and stability to the next level whether you are working on your feet all day or running a marathon.

Very comfortable
Great fit I'm a walker plenty of cushion and is a very stable shoe holds my ankle in place
Fit great. Wide toe box! Wear for work. Long hours on my feet. No pain whatsoever.
This shoe provides support and gives your foot a solid platform to distribute weight while running. I've been using it consistently for almost a year now. Best if you let the shoe rest for 48 hours before running again. When first purchased, the shoe will feel tight but as you break it in, it will loosen. I wish it had slightly more bounce and longevity but I will continue to purchase as my feet like them.
These are great shoes for me. I have numerous foot issues including much pain, over pronation, plantar fasciitis, ankle pain and more. Knee issues as well. I’m not a runner, just a person trying to stay on her feet for everyday tasks. I’ve tried every stability shoe out there and this is by far the best. It keeps my ankle stable but is a fairly lightweight shoe. The cushion of the shoe lets me stay on my feet longer than most. Also is easier on my knees. I have a medium to narrow foot but a wide toe box. This fits the bill. True to size for me. P. S. I appreciate the neutral gray color but would love to see a dusty lavender.
The toe box is wide, the soles are sturdy and well cushioned, and they were comfy from the start.
I love the HOKA Gaviota. It is my newest walking/running shoe and gives me the stability that I need with all the comfort of my other HOKA shoes!
I LOVE this shoe for standing and walking over 10,000 steps a day at my job. The shoe is lightweight and my feet are not tired at the end of the day.
Love the fit, comfort and color!!
