New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v3
Features
Get to the finish line faster—the New Balance FuelCell SC Elite v3 was built for marathon runners who never give up.
Two layers of springy FuelCell midsole foam are combined with a snappy carbon fiber plate to propel you forward. This year, the FuelCell SC Elite v3 comes updated with New Balance’s Energy Arc, which pairs the sports-specific carbon fiber plate geometry with strategic midsole voids that store more energy and deliver it back for even greater energy return.
For a no-fuss fit that’s ready for race day, a bootie upper hugs and supports your feet while a one-piece integrated tongue is breathable and secure. Plus, a new lacing loop system lets you dial in your perfect fit.
The New Balance FuelCell SC Elite v3 will help you achieve your personal best.

What’s New
The New Balance FuelCell SC Elite v3 is the newest version (with a name change) of the FuelCell RC Elite v2. It is part of New Balance’s new SuperComp line that uses premium materials to provide you with the best running experience possible.
The biggest change made to the FueCell SC Elite v3 is the addition of New Balance’s Energy Arc which is also featured in the FuelCell SuperComp Trainer. The Energy Arc combines a carbon fiber plate with voids in the midsole to give you more energy return, smoother transitions and a more stable ride. Other changes include lacing loops in the upper as opposed to eyelets and a slightly wider platform.

Great for racing and workouts
I LOVE these shoes for racing AND workouts. In my opinion these rival the Nike Vaporfly which I used to prefer. The SuperComp feels very similar - light responsive and fast. The upper hugs my feet really nicely without feeling too constricted. The only hiccup is that for the first couple runs the shoe rubbed my outer ankle a bit but then it was fine. Great shoes!
