New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer
Features
Bring that race-day feeling of energy return and speed to your everyday runs in the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer.
This high-mileage training shoe was designed to look, feel and perform differently than your traditional training shoe. It has New Balance’s Energy Arc technology, which is an arched carbon fiber plate that is sandwiched in between two layers of their FuelCell cushioning. The geometry of the carbon fiber plate has strategic midsole voids to increase stored energy, which delivers a higher amount of total energy returned.
The FuelCell cushioning gives you soft landings and propels you forward during your run. One tester said "the thick slab of FuelCell foam is so springy and bouncy it makes each stride feel effortless. I love how soft yet responsive the cushioning is, too. It can be tough to blend those two elements into one shoe but New Balance does it perfectly here," in our New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer review. A breathable, flat-knit upper provides a locked-in fit and feel. The gusseted tongue and “N” wrap-around logo secure your midfoot so you can push the pace.
Feel energized throughout your run with the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer.
*Please note that the stack height of the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer has over a 40 mm stack height and cannot be used in competitions governed by World Athletic Organization rules.

Able to ditch my stability shoes
For the past 10 years I have run in stability shoes; Kayano Guide’s and Adrenaline GTS. A friend let me try on her New Balance Fuelcell SuperComp trainers and I immediately fell in love! These feel like trampolines and I have had no difficulty running in a non-stability issue. I just completed the New York City Marathon having run in these for only one month and my feet and arches responded well.
Smooth Ride
These are my favorite running shoes! I am super picky about my shoes. I train for marathons and I qualified for the Boston Marathon last year. I typically run in Nike Tempo Next / Alpha fly or New Balance More Foam trail. I absolutely love these! They roll with my landing and for me they are more smooth than the Nike’s. There is a lot of energy return and I am a mid-foot and heel striker. I look forward to all my runs in them! Will there be a racing shoe with the Arc Technology? I may just have to run the marathon in these! They run small so my next pair I am sizing up 1/2 size. I have never had a shoe where during my run I am thinking about how much I love my shoes!
