If Hot Mess was a running shoe
On cloud is a brand I have been loyal to for a few years now as a runner. I bought these last year and returned them twice. Unfortunately no one helped me choose the right shoe but I knew what I needed as I was helped the first time early in 2022 well by a great sale associate at the Basse location in San Antonio TX. I usually buy a new pair every flyer just because I run often but also because my hips aren’t aligned and I often wear out my shoes within a year. Earlier this year I wen to the Live Oak location and bought these. Immediately after only wearing them for three days they started to show tear at the top of the shoe by the top loop. I went back and returned them. Figured it was just a defect so I returned them for the same item. Sales associate recommended I not use that loop anymore but I told him that I prefer having my shoes laced to the top because I like a sturdy shoe with support. He shrugged and that was pretty much it. Not even three weeks later I noticed that this show started to do the same as well as the the fabric glue started to come up from the base of the shoe and the fabric. I took them back and exchanged them for so another product since they wouldn’t give me my full refund even though I had a receipt (they blamed it on AMEX even though it was within the 30 days). I ended up getting another brand and I have not been happy with my shoes. But I will say that these shoes are lovely and they definitely provide the support and cushioning one needs for running and as well as changing after a toddler. They are great if you have issues with lower back problems and need support too. They just fall apart. Don’t know if it’s a defect or what but I’m not taking the chance with them anymore.
