- Upper: The upper features Topo’s signature fit—it has a roomy toe box with a secure midfoot and heel. They redesigned the MTN Racer 3 with even more room in the toe box. The lacing system really allows for a good midfoot lockdown to keep you nimble on your feet. Plus, it is compatible with the Topo Gaiter to keep rocks and debris out.
- Midsole: The new ZipFoam® midsole material provides the perfect balance between soft cushioning and a snappy response. Topo also added 3 mm of foam underfoot to give you more protection and cushion.
- Outsole: The MTN Racer 3 features a Vibram® Megagrip outsole that provides a ton of traction, grip and durability, especially in wet conditions.

What’s New
The newest version of the Topo Athletic MTN Racer has two major updates. First, Topo added more volume to the forefoot so your toes can splay out for better balance on uneven terrain. Second, they increased the stack height of the shoe adding 3 mm more of the new ZipFoam®, which is more cushioned and bouncier than the previous version.
