You've put in the miles. You've put in the work. You've put in the recovery. Now, it's time to put that work to the test.
Winter Warriors are gearing up to put their winter miles to the test at two upcoming races: The F^3 Half Marathon and The Life Time Miami Half Marathon.
Whatever your race day goals may include, this list has everything you will need to pack in preparation for a successful race day. Remember, you should use nothing new on race day.
Pre Race
- Anti-chafe lotion (e.g. BodyGlide)
- Running hat
- Sunscreen
- Lip balm with SPF
Race
- Race bib
- Run bra
- Running watch
- Running shoes
- Running tops (consider the weather)
- Running bottoms (consider the weather)
- Running socks
- Energy gels or chews
- Nathan Hydration system
- Running Sunglasses (e.g. goodr)
- Band-Aids
- NipGuards
- Throwaway clothes (a shirt or jacket you can throw away if you get hot)
Post Race
- Towel
- Recovery tool (e.g. Theragun)
- Recovery sandals (e.g. HOKA Ora Recovery shoes)
- Electrolyte drink (e.g. Gatorade)
- Gear check bag
- Change of clothes
- Compression socks (e.g. CEP)
BONUS: Winter Racing Essentials
- Gloves
- Headband or hat
- Throwaway blanket from a previous race
