New Challenge with Fleet Feet

Race and Earn Prizes!

Who doesn’t love a challenge? This challenge is based on the three races that are owned by Fleet Feet Chico. How to play:

Do and complete a race form each races event:

1. Bidwell Classic on March 2^nd, 2024 (5k, 10k, Half Marathon)
2. Fall Trail Classic on October 20^th, 2024 (Endurance Challenge 50k, Half Marathon)
3. Almond Bowl on November 3^rd, 2024 (5k, 10k)

 

Of the races you must do a minimum combination of a 5k, 10k and Half Marathon or greater.

(Examples: BC 10k, Trail half, AB 5k or BC half, Trail Endurance Challenge, AB 10k)

Note: If you do the endurance challenge as part of your challenge it can count towards any race distance if you complete at least one lap (one lap – 5k, two laps – 10k, 3-4 laps- Half Marathon) But you will only be age graded for this race if you complete it.

 

All race times will be verified, age graded and uploaded by the race director the week after each race.

• All who complete the challenge will receive a limited-edition custom zipper hoodie from Upper Park Clothing ($50.00 value)
• Cost to participate $25.00 per runner.
• Must be registered by March 1^st, 2024 to qualify for this year’s challenge
• Winnings from completing the Challenge and winners of the age grading will available and announced at Christmas Preview (November 24^th) at Fleet Feet Chico.
• Top 3 age graded finishers (Male and Female) will be awarded with Fleet Feet Gift Cards

Join Fleet Feet Chico for a new monthly fun run with Bidwell Perk! 

Sundays are a great day for a recovery run, and what is a nice recovery run without a warm cup of coffee at the end!?!

Fleet Feet Chico with be partnering with Bidwell Perk to offer a Free Fun Run on the second Sunday (3rd Sunday for March) of EVERY MONTH! 

Come to Bidwell Perk at 8:00am to meet up with the morning run crew, head out on a beautiful morning run and finish at Bidwell Perk for a complimentary cup of fresh brewed coffee! (First Cup complementary)

Bidwell Classic 
5k/10k and Half Marathon 
 

Join us for the Bidwell Classic 5K, 10k and Half Marathon. 

 

This year we are offering a Cash Prize for the top male and female in each race! 
 

Join us for a beautiful spring run in lower Bidwell Park! A substantial portion of the race entry fees go to the local high school cross country running programs. When you participate in the Bidwell Classic, you are supporting local student athletes. If you would like to make an additional donation to the schools, please do so on the donation portion of the registration. Thank you so much for supporting this race and our local youth runners!

When: March 2nd, 2024
Time: First Race Starts at 8:00am
Location: Lower Bidwell Park
 

 

Online registration closes at 8:00am on Friday March 1st, 2024.  

In person registration will be available during packet pickup

 

We are so pleased to be able to bring back a fun and fast one mile race in the heart of downtown Chico! 

Join us for Chico's only downtown foot race, the Downtown Mile! That's right, one very fast mile! Test yourself to see just how hard you can push; we'll be there to cheer you on! 

 

Race Registration and Packet Pickup Information: 

Race day registration and bib pick up will be available on race morning beginning at 11:00 am - Noon at Fleet Feet Chico (241 Main Street). The race is scheduled to begin around 12:30 pm (ish). We ask that you are patient with the start time as we are at the mercy of the Stage Race :)

This race will max out at 250 participants! So, sign up early! 

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Packet Pick up will be held at Fleet Feet Chico on Saturday March 9th from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Fleet Feet Chico

Packets will also be available from 11:00am-12:00 on race day at Fleet Feet Chico. 

Online registration will close at 10:00am on March 10th and in-person registration will close at Noon (sharp) on race day. 

Cost: $15.00 pre-registration

          $20.00 In-person registration on race day

 

 

Trail Training Kicks off in 3 weeks!
 

Trail Training Programs are up for registration!
 

This year we are offering a spring 5k/10k and Half Marathon programs!
This is the first time that we are offering a 5k distance, this will be a great opportunity to get introduced into trail running. 

Kickoff will be held on March 16th at 7:30am at Hooker Oak Park
Both programs with target Paiute meadows trail race on May 11th in Susanville Ca.
