Fleet Feet Racing Team

2025 Racing Team registration opens December 10, 2024.

The Fleet Feet Racing Team is composed of avid runners & walkers who are ever present in the Fox Valley area racing community. We compete, we volunteer and we embody the “WE RUN TOGETHER” spirit. Registrations will be accepted until Monday, December 30, 2025. Team announcements will be made by Monday, January 5, 2024.

RACING TEAM QUALIFICATIONS:

• An avid runner/walker at local Fox Valley area races and a raving fan of Fleet Feet Fox Valley;
• When available attend FF runs/events such as our Tuesday night Pub Runs or Saturday morning Coffee Runs. and other FF-sponsored events throughout the year;
• Willing to participate in local races supported by Fleet Feet;
• Excited to be an active part of a team of dedicated runners & walkers of all paces; and
• 18 or older.

RACING TEAM PERKS:

• Team members will receive a New Balance racing team kit, including a Team Singlet and Warm-up Jacket for new members and hoodie/SS/joggers for returning members ($170 value);
• Monthly calls with Coach Advisory Team and access to one-on-one coaching (min $200 value). Our Coach Advisoor Team will be available for support with the development, modification, and execution of race plans as individually needed.
• Monthly newsletter that includes a Strength Training Program built specifically for Race Team members ($540 value);
• FREE participation in our 6-week Summer SpeedPlay training program ($40 value). The program takes place at 6AM on Wednesdays in June/July (2025 dates to be confirmed);
• 25% OFF all Fleet Feet-logoed in-store gear;
• Each race team member will have the opportunity to earn 2 x $20 in-store credits ($40 value) for showing proof of registarion for local races (within approx 40 miles of Appleton);
• Additional discounted/comped entries to local events as available;
• Quarterly VIP Shopping events (dates TBD);
• Quarterly race team meet-ups (dates and locations TBC);
• Invitation to our End of Year celebration sponsored by New Balance;
• The opportunity to represent Fleet Feet in the running community.

RACING TEAM COST:

• Only $250 annually (no additional costs for accessing Advisory Coaching Team)

RACING TEAM EXPECTATIONS:

• Bring your most positive, encouraging, engaged self to all community and team events;
• Represent Fleet Feet with a positive presence at races, events and in the racing community, both in person and online;
• Able to check in, post, tag or otherwise share your Fleet Feet racing experience on social media and in the community;
• (Note: There is no specific shoe-brand requirement);
• Provide the $250 annual membership fee; and
• Adhere to the FF Racing Team Code of Conduct and Social Media Policy.

Meet the Coaches

Terry Gross, former Appleton West High School Coach and long-time passionate runner.

Husband-and-wife team of John Zupanc and Deb Vercauteren, responsible for countless National and All-American Championship wins for their UW Oshkosh athletes, bring a collection 60+ years of expertise to the role of being available to support our Racing Team members.

John, Deb, and Terry are also the coaches for our Summer SpeedPlay program.
