Just finishing up a training program and want to keep the momentum going? Or, are you an experienced runner who wants to "get back at it" with the support and encouragement of a training group? As long as you can currently run or run-walk at least a 5k distance, this 5-week program could be for you.
Keeping the Pace is a coached program, designed for experienced novice to intermediate level runners who can run or run-walk at least 5k or greater. Participants typically want to maintain or increase fitness levels in preparation for upcoming 5k or 10k races, for advancing to a future training program or simiply to improve performance. This program may serve as a short bridge between training or racing seasons.
Participants will receive custom training plans, based on their readiness (fitness level) and specific goals.
TIMES AND LOCATION
Group Running Workout: Sundays at 8:30 am, Thursdays at 6:30 pm
Location: Fleet Feet Store, 234 Main Street, Pleasanton
Group workouts will take place 2x weekly, with guidance from a Fleet Feet Coach and Mentors.
WHAT TO EXPECT

2x weekly in-person group running workouts at Fleet Feet
A strength and mobility workshop with our partner, Victoria Liu, of IronHorse PT
Customized training plan - provided weekly
Expert coaching from Margaret Quinn, Fleet Feet Running Coach
Education on running form, injury prevention, safety, shoes, running gear, and more
Email guidance from your coach and membership to private WhatsApp chat group
Encouragement, support and FUN! Let's GO!
Group activities will include participation in local races, including the Pleasanton Turkey Burn (5k and 10k Fun Run) on Thanksgiving and the San Ramon Bah Humbug 5k on December 7.
Race registration fees are in addition to the Training Program fee.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Participants should be injury-free and able to dedicate adequate time on their own for training.
Participants must be 16 years or older and able to run or run-walk a 5k using 2:1 intervals or better. This is not a "couch to 5k" program for beginners.
Participants are required to have and use safety equipment for evening workouts.
